There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took Nick Martin a full 47 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That Taylor pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
