Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Jets cashed the board's mistake on Moss: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Jets came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Moss at that price is a win they earned. Tank Dell gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Rueben Bain Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick16 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In No. 16 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that.
Pick33 Rnd2 Chris Johnson
They did well to land Chris Johnson in pick No. 33, just ahead of his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick59 Rnd2 Elijah Sarratt
A reasonable price with a little left over, Elijah Sarratt in the 59th overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick103 Rnd4 Chandler Rivers
Chandler Rivers at the 103rd pick is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick108 Rnd4 Emmett Johnson
Emmett Johnson is a better player than the Round 4 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Pick128 Rnd4 Logan Jones
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Logan Jones. The roster fit checks out.
Pick175 Rnd5 Bryce Boettcher
A quiet steal in the 175th overall pick: Bryce Boettcher for less than the market said. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick178 Rnd5 Aaron Anderson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Aaron Anderson at the 178th pick is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick192 Rnd6 Taylen Green
Taylen Green at pick No. 192 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206 Rnd6 Keyshaun Elliott
A premium they did not need to pay, Keyshaun Elliott a notch or two before his time. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick209 Rnd6 Eric McAlister
Somehow Eric McAlister was still sitting there in slot 209, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick218 Rnd7 Zxavian Harris
Zxavian Harris in No. 218 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick242 Rnd7 Jaren Kanak
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaren Kanak in Round 7, Pick 26. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick251 Rnd7 Miller Moss
Miller Moss at the 251st overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick255 Rnd7 Trebor Pena
Trebor Pena at slot 255 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
