If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Tanor Bortolini at the 177th overall pick is 45 spots clear of where he belonged.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bertrand.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
