The Trey Moore selection is the head-turner. The Chargers reached 78 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

That Johnson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
