The tape said wait; the Rams did not. Chad Lindberg went at the Round 7 slot, a good 35 picks before the board was ready. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The McCoy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
