Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Rams spent the Round 6 slot on Desmond Evans, a name the board had a full 55 spots lower. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Washington value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. It is not that Newton is a bad player; it is that the Rams had louder needs to answer first.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
