Call it larceny. Malik Nabers sat on the board until the 29th pick, and the Chargers did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
