Nix is the Broncos' new face under center. Grade: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Broncos shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here. They will need Randolph Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Stover pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker, tight end and other spots.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. The Mayes steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
