A costly weekend of dealing drags the Broncos to a D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Broncos did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and tight end still on the board. If Jenkins pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
