When a board-topper like Tate Ratledge slides to the 122nd overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Broncos did not.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Crawshaw pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
