Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles cashed the board's mistake on Mims: B.

Call it larceny. Amarius Mims sat on the board until the 50th overall pick, and the Eagles did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
They paid sticker price for Nate Wiggins in No. 22, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick50 Rnd2 Amarius Mims
Amarius Mims at slot 50 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick53 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
A tidy little value on T.J. Tampa in the Round 2 slot, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120 Rnd4 James Williams
No drama and no debate, James Williams went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 20. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick161 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith at pick No. 161 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick171 Rnd5 Luke McCaffrey
They robbed the room for Luke McCaffrey here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick172 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen in the 172nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
Fair-plus on Jaylan Ford, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
