Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall C+
ValueC NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
Flashes of a plan, unevenly executed. Dolphins: C+.

The war room fell hard for Daevin Hobbs, and it showed at slot 225: 25 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Gennings Dunker
In the 11th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Daylen Everette
A premium they did not need to pay, Daylen Everette a notch or two before his time. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick75 Rnd3 Whit Weeks
They left a pile of value on the table to take Whit Weeks this early at Round 3, Pick 11. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick78 Rnd3 Keon Sabb
Keon Sabb in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick95 Rnd3 Malachi Fields
A tidy little value on Malachi Fields in No. 95, a step better than break-even. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick111 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
They liked Chase Bisontis enough to skip the value, taking him in the 111th pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick151 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Davison Igbinosun well ahead of where he belonged. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick225 Rnd7 Daevin Hobbs
Daevin Hobbs in the 225th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
