The 49ers robbed the room for Thornton Jr.. Final grade: B. Call it larceny. Dont'e Thornton Jr. sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 16, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice.
The Gregory reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Williams pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and tight end still on the board.
On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
