Somebody in Round 7, Pick 27 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Lions sat still while Omar Speights, the No. 222 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. They will need Barrett to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
