The Browns went off the board in a big way for Monroe Freeling, 25 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

However the rest shakes out, Lew at that price is a win they earned. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
