Priorities are a choice, and the Colts made a strange one, taking Maason Smith at DT-EDGE in Round 3, Pick 18 with quarterback, running back and other spots crying out for the pick instead. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Rouse pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Simpson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
