FutureB-
The Titans won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B. The Titans put a flag in the ground for Dylan Laube, 39 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The veteran additions, Travis Kelce chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Kamari Lassiter
In slot 31 they get a sticky cover corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick38
Rnd2
Jackson Powers-Johnson
They talked themselves into Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 38, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick94
Rnd3
Malachi Corley
They let Malachi Corley come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 31. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick98
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
The board had cheaper options than Cooper Beebe at pick 98, and it noticed. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick106
Rnd4
Dylan Laube
A big swing on Dylan Laube at the 106th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick144
Rnd5
Jonah Monheim
They reached a country mile for Jonah Monheim at the Round 5 slot, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick184
Rnd6
Dwight McGlothern
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dwight McGlothern. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick215
Rnd6
Cody Schrader
Cody Schrader at slot 215 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick228
Rnd7
Xavier Restrepo
They did well to land Xavier Restrepo in pick 228, just ahead of his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
