Grand theft in the 138th overall pick: the Bears steal Henderson and grade out a A-. The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 61 name on the board, sitting there at slot 138 like a gift left on the doorstep. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.
They will need Cypress II to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Bears indulged a want in Mukuba while a need in edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.
Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
