For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Giants walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The McKinney pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The Barton pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
