FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Daniels in the fold, and a C for the Seahawks. The Seahawks spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.
Bell has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.
The Worthy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick Analysis
Pick10
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In pick 10 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick26
Rnd1
JC Latham
In the 26th pick they get a long-term starter on the line, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick40
Rnd2
Tyler Nubin
Tyler Nubin at No. 40 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick47
Rnd2
Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
The board had Ennis Rakestraw Jr. higher than Round 2, Pick 15, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick81
Rnd3
Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at the Round 3 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick119
Rnd4
Jaheim Bell
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jaheim Bell. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick151
Rnd5
Tommy Eichenberg
A tidy little value on Tommy Eichenberg in pick No. 151, a step better than break-even. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick168
Rnd5
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in the 168th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
