Williams is the Commanders' new face under center. Grade: B.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They are betting Watts proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

In No. 2 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick36 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Chop Robinson in Round 2, Pick 4. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick66 Rnd3 Patrick Paul
By-the-book stuff, Patrick Paul at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Khyree Jackson in pick 80 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
