The Commanders won the night they stopped Bullard from sliding. Grade: A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. Javon Bullard, the No. 63 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 97th pick. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end and interior defensive lineman.

Bottom line, with Olumuyiwa Fashanu leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
