Larceny in the 154th overall pick lands the Bengals a B-, Dotson and all.

The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: Mello Dotson, the No. 133 name on the board, sitting there at the 154th pick like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. They will answer for taking edge rusher early while tight end, offensive lineman and other spots went begging.

They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
