The Commanders bet the future on Daniels. The board says A-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Davis pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
