A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a B weekend for the Commanders. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Colson pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end and interior defensive lineman. That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
