Grand theft in pick No. 171: the Cowboys steal Noel and grade out a A-.

Somebody in pick 171 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Jaylin Noel, the No. 95 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Elijah Moore deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In the end it comes back to Shavon Revel Jr., and a haul good enough to build on right away.
