Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Packers a B.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Packers spent the Round 5 slot on Brandon Coleman, a name most had 35 spots down the list. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Haynes at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In pick No. 26 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick58 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia in No. 58 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick88 Rnd3 Trey Benson
Trey Benson at slot 88 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick89 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
Steal is underselling it; Christian Haynes at the 89th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
Cole Bishop at Round 3, Pick 28 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick126 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
The board had Elijah Jones higher than slot 126, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick150 Rnd5 Brandon Coleman
A wild overpay on Brandon Coleman in the 150th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick168 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
They reached into another round for Joe Milton III, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick169 Rnd5 Curtis Jacobs
They left a pile of value on the table to take Curtis Jacobs this early at pick 169. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick170 Rnd5 Myles Cole
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Myles Cole well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick202 Rnd6 Ryan Flournoy
A straight-up fair deal on Ryan Flournoy at Round 6, Pick 27, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick219 Rnd6 Logan Lee
Nice patience on Logan Lee, who had no business lasting to No. 219. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick245 Rnd7 Dominique Hampton
A slide stopped in the 245th pick, with Dominique Hampton worth more than the price. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick255 Rnd7 Edefuan Ulofoshio
You do not let a linebacker like Edefuan Ulofoshio reach Round 7, Pick 35 and blink. They did not. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
