Boards are made to be trusted, and the Broncos shredded theirs for Jaden Hicks. He came off 63 spots early, and the room will hear about it. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Stover pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

On value alone, Cowing makes the weekend a net positive.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
