If confidence were a draft strategy, the 49ers would have aced it. Oluwafemi Oladejo at the 100th pick is 40 spots clear of where he belonged.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Emmanwori. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
