When a board-topper like Omarion Hampton slides to Round 2, Pick 26, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They are betting Conner proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
