Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesA- FutureD-
The Raiders drew a line under the quarterback search with Daniels: B-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, tight end and other spots still on the board. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Prather steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
Pick44 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
They let Troy Fautanu come to them and pounced at No. 44. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick77 Rnd3 Maason Smith
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending the 77th overall pick on Maason Smith with edge rusher, tight end and other spots unsolved.
Pick112 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
A premium they did not need to pay, Khyree Jackson a notch or two before his time. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick150 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen slid further than he should have, and slot 150 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick190 Rnd6 Kaden Prather
Kaden Prather is a better player than Round 6, Pick 15 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick234 Rnd7 Blake Watson
A straight-up fair deal on Blake Watson at pick 234, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
