Devonshire should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B+. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Steelers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
That Devonshire pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Steelers indulged a want in Nourzad while a need in quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open. Every board in the league had Nourzad lower, and that gap is the story.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
