The Giants clearly saw something nobody else did in Jasheen Davis, taking him 131 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

That Giddens pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
