Somebody took the Dolphins to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

Whatever Fernando Mendoza becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Singleton pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The veteran additions, Pat Surtain II chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
