No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys.

There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cowboys never got to the one that mattered most. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Reaching for Styles left real value on the table behind him. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

A tidy little value on Arvell Reese in the 12th overall pick, a step better than break-even. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick20 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
A reach on Sonny Styles in the 20th pick; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick112 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds in pick No. 112 lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
