You build a draft on nights like this. Xavier Restrepo had no business being available in pick 242, and the Cowboys did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
