The Cowboys cashed the board's mistake on Alexander: D.

The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Zy Alexander, the No. 59 name on the board, in Round 7, Pick 31. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The Williams pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver and tight end.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and wide receiver is still a hole.
