The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cowboys reached some 74 spots for Roman Hemby, and value like that does not grow back.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Reese at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
