The steal of the weekend belongs to the Cowboys and King: D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Cowboys did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

The Smith reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took King. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
