The Cowboys got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Cowboys clearly saw something nobody else did in Joe Milton III, taking him 54 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They banked enough surplus on Legette to cover a lot of smaller sins. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
