The phones were a trap the Cowboys kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Reaching for Jackson left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

That Murphy pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
