The Panthers won the night they stopped Shough from sliding. Grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Tyler Shough at pick 198 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Monheim has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
