Burke should have been long gone. The Dolphins pounced, and earned a B-.

The board owed the Dolphins one, and it paid up: Denzel Burke, the No. 116 name on the board, sitting there at Round 5, Pick 17 like a gift left on the doorstep.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Alexander left real value on the table behind him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
