Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

FutureB-
Moore is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: B-. Somebody in the 136th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Raiders sat still while Sam Leavitt, the No. 73 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They have staked the next five years on Dante Moore, which is the only story that really matters here. Reaching for Davis left real value on the table behind him.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33
Rnd2
Avieon Terrell
They read the board right and Avieon Terrell was the payoff at the 33rd overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick66
Rnd3
Taurean York
Nice patience on Taurean York, who had no business lasting to pick 66. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick101
Rnd4
J.C. Davis
A big swing on J.C. Davis at slot 101, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick115
Rnd4
Zakee Wheatley
Steal is underselling it; Zakee Wheatley at pick No. 115 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick136
Rnd4
Sam Leavitt
They will replay Sam Leavitt at No. 136 for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick175
Rnd5
Duce Robinson
Duce Robinson in the 175th pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick182
Rnd6
Oscar Delp
A reach for Oscar Delp in Round 6, Pick 1; a little patience would have been rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick184
Rnd6
Darius Taylor
The board had Darius Taylor higher than the Round 6 slot, and the running back fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick218
Rnd7
Taylen Green
Taylen Green at the 218th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
