Banks should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

They banked enough surplus on Banks to cover a lot of smaller sins. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
