The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-. The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Azareye'h Thomas fell into Round 7, Pick 37.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Whatever Cam Ward becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
