Draft Grade — Bears
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
Larceny in No. 39 lands the Bears a A-, Turner and all.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Turner. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Bears indulged a want in Stover while a need in interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots stayed open.

If Bullard pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In slot 6 they get a home-run threat at receiver. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick16 Rnd1 Jared Verse
In the 16th overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Dallas Turner
They will replay Dallas Turner at the 39th pick for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick44 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
No drama and no debate, Kris Jenkins went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick47 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
A reach for Javon Bullard in pick 47; a little patience would have been rewarded. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick70 Rnd3 Zach Frazier
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Zach Frazier at pick No. 70 is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick75 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Pick111 Rnd4 Cade Stover
A surprising call. With interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots still to address, they spent the 111th pick on Cade Stover, a TE-EDGE they were not short of.
Pick123 Rnd4 Isaiah Adams
No edge and no loss on Isaiah Adams in the 123rd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick143 Rnd5 Beaux Limmer
A straight-up fair deal on Beaux Limmer at slot 143, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
