The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Smith: A-.

The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Ainias Smith fell into the Round 6 slot.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Travis pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

The veteran additions, Budda Baker chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
