After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Richardson. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for McCarthy left real value on the table behind him.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
