Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

The Bears won the night they stopped Emmanwori from sliding. Grade: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Nick Emmanwori, the No. 20 name on the board, stolen at Round 2, Pick 9. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Helm has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick10
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
In the 10th overall pick they get a centerpiece for the ground game at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
A slide stopped in No. 39, with Kenneth Grant worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick41
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at Round 2, Pick 9 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick72
Rnd3
Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm at pick 72 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick148
Rnd5
Logan Brown
Logan Brown at slot 148 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick233
Rnd7
Isaac TeSlaa
They took Isaac TeSlaa at par in pick No. 233, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick240
Rnd7
Zeek Biggers
Zeek Biggers in the Round 7 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
